Pentium Card Removal Procedure


Caution

ALWAYS use proper ESD handling procedures when removing or installing cards in the APU-102.


1)  Disconnect cables from card

2)  Pull on the ejector tab until you feel the card come loose from the backplane connector

Figure 1: Pull ejector tab to release card from backplane connector

3)  Grasp the card by the edges and slide it out of the card cage


Figure 2 and 3: Hold card by the end or edges when sliding it out of the card cage slot

4)  Any time the card is out of the card cage, DO NOT hold or carry it by the ejector tab.

Caution

DO NOT handle the Pentium card assembly by the ejector tab.

This can twist the board and cause irreparable damage, rendering the board unusable!


ALWAYS wear an anti-static device when handling cards
