Obtaining Diagnostic Train Records

Accurate diagnostic train records are essential for understanding equipment performance, identifying defects, and ensuring accountability in service and maintenance. These records provide a clear history of system behavior, allowing us to verify issues and track patterns.
- Connect (Telnet) into Comet RailNET AEI Reader
- You will see 4 sessions.
- To enter the front door, select session 1.
- Enter the supervisory password: (Default:super)
- Type in your initials as this will log the event of you getting in, in the system report(can be used for diagnostics).
- To look at the recorded train data, Type "D" and then enter. It will show you each Train Log or Consist.
- It is only going to show you the most recent. If you would like to see more Trains/Consists, type "D,*" and then using "C" for continuous to see more in the directory.
- If you would like to see how the wheel sensor or antennas(RFID system) is reporting, you can type “DDS” this stands for Data Dump Summary.
- DDF plus sequence number will give you the direction, tag information, and direction.
- DDT plus the sequence number will give you the tags.
Any other needs can be simply found by typing "?" and enter, hit c for continuous to show more commands available to you.
