Comet utilizes loop detector (Comet product number 402280, manufacturer number LMA-1250S-LV) as an option for presence. The relay socket (Comet product number 402281, manufacturer number 27E123) is utilized for wiring. Both are described in this document the wiring details and pin connections. Comet also sets frequency setting and functions, which are described herein as well.

Pin Connections

The loop detector pin connections (this is also printed on the detector itself):

  1. +12-24VDC, +24VAC (Black)
  2. DC Ground. -24VAC (White)
  3. Output B Relay – N.O. (Orange) (closes for detect)
  4. No connection (Green)
  5. Output A Relay – COM (Yellow)
  6. Output A Relay – N.O. (Blue) (closes for detect)
  7. Loop Input (Gray)
  8. Loop Input (Brown)
  9. Output B Relay – COM (Red)
  10. Output A Relay – N.C. (White/Black)
  11. Output B Relay – N.C. (White/Red)

Wiring Detail

Frequency and Function Settings

Comet programs the loop detector with the frequency and function settings necessary for optimal performance. The factory settings are notated on the loop detector itself.
