ATTENTION!

The on-board CMOS battery on the LX800 MUST be disabled before connecting the external battery. Leaving the on-board CMOS battery enabled can cause catastrophic failure with the external battery connected.

Disable the on-board CMOS battery by removing the jumper on J31. Leave the jumper installed on pin 1 only so it will be available for future use.
